Katherine Moore | Team Leader

Katherine completed her NVQ level two and three at Bedford College in May 2007 and has been working at 5th Avenue full time since June 2007. Even though she is a relatively new member to our team, the quality of her work is outstanding and we are proud to say that she receives regular compliments on the standard of her treatments weekly. Already she has gained a large regular clientèle who really like her one to one attention to detail. She is able to offer the majority of our treatments in salon and has been on various beauty courses including a one week in depth training course with Espa in February 2008. She loves the variety of being able to do different treatments but  really enjoys doing Brazilian waxing! After all it is one of our most popular treatments and there is a big call for it to be done professionally. She says that she has thoroughly enjoyed her time working with us and is looking forward to serving her customers for many more years to come.

Claire Jones

Claire gained a BTEC National Diploma in beauty therapy in 1990 after studying at Northampton College for two years. Her first job was in an established Bedford based salon where she worked for three years specialising in electrolysis. She decided that she would quite like to tie work in with seeing some of the world and went on to work on the cruise liners travelling all over the Caribbean and Alaska. When it felt like the time to hit solid ground again she moved on to work at Ragdale Hall Health Hydro as a senior therapist. Realising that she was passionate about the Guinot products and the wish to be nearer to home she was employed as an accounts executive for Guinot helping to train therapists and promote the product. Claire started out here as a client and the salon always wanted her to join from the very start. She decided to join us after starting her family in August 2004 and has since had another little daughter. She now works Tuesday and Thursday evenings and boasts a wealth of experience and is capable of putting her hand to most of our treatments including electrolysis.

Nicola Wain

Nicola studied at Leicester Southfields College and qualified in 1993 with a City and Guilds and IHBC Diploma. She continued to learn advanced treatments including theatrical make up, Indian wedding make up, Aromatherapy and specialised toning treatments. She worked at a salon based in Leicester for six years and then moved to the Bedford area. She joined our team in 2001 after having her first son and is the longest serving beauty member of the team. Nicola is fantastic with her clients and extremely popular. She maintains a very high standard with her treatments and is capable of offering the majority of services on our price list. She originally trained with Aveda products but was pleased to be working with Espa knowing that the range has an entirely holistic approach to treat mind body and soul. She specialises in her Espa treatments as well as Aromatherapy, Brazilian waxing, and hand and foot treatments.

Amy Roberts

Amy enrolled on a two year beauty therapy course at Bedford College in 2003. She decided to broaden her knowledge and experience after her training and was given a beauty position at Champneys based in Henlow so she could further her career. After a 2 year stint at the health farm she decided to bring her knowledge back to Bedford to concentrate on building a regular clientele. She can offer most of the treatments on our list but loves the holistic approach and enjoys her body treatments.

Stefanie McCabe

Stefanie studied for a foundation degree in beauty therapy and health studies at London College of Fashion in 2001 and completed her course in 2003. She decided to work with her base closer to home and was recruited by a beauty salon in Huntingdon. She left the salon to have her first son and later came to join us here at 5th Avenue in August 2004 working part time on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. As well as offering all of the main beauty services, Stef also specialises in Aromatherapy and Hot Stone Treatments. She is also very experienced in Brazilian waxing and has lots of regular clients book in for her to do the treatment.

Eve Windram

Eve joined our beauty team in September 2010. She completed a specialist CIDESCO training course at Champneys Tring in 2010 which gave her excellent spa experience and the best private training possible. Eve offers a wide range of beauty services at 5th Avenue and has built up many regular clients who love her treatments. She is qualified in all ESPA treatments, Jessica, Nouveau Eyelash Extensions, Geleration Nails, Decleor Face Treatments and also a Brazilian Wax Specialist. Eve builds an excellent repor with her clients and helps them feel totally at ease in her hands. She is also part of 5th Avenue "Therapy Club", a beauty service that we offer for clients at The Embankment Hotel in Bedford.

Petra Najemi

Petra has always shown an interest in beauty therapy and enrolled on an NVQ level 2 and level 3 course at Bedford College after having her son. She qualified in 2010 and spent most of the summer gaining extra experience at the salon based at Bedford College. Petra was given a Beauty Therapy position at a locally based Bedford salon and trained in Decleor products and treatments. She joined our team in March 2011 on a part time basis which quickly evolved to a full time position. Petra has amazing customer service and always maintains a very high level of standard with her treatments. In addition to Decleor she has trained in ESPA, Jessica, Nouveau Eyelash Extensions, Make Up and also a specialist in Bazilian Waxing.She loves the fact that she is busy and glad that she has built a fantastic client base who love coming back to her time and time again.
